Version April 15, 2004! What's
New? (April 15, 2004) Current
Location is displayed on the Sefira Counter screen.
Latitude, Longitude and Time Zone for locations are now
modifiable.
Bug fixes.
What
is Sefira Counter?
Sefira
counter is a program that installs itself into your startup group
and runs whenever you login to your computer. It calculates the
current sefira count and displays it on your computer.
What
does it cost?
Nothing.
It's FREE. All I ask is that you do not modify it in any way AND,
if you like it that you send a tax-deductible donation to: Young
Israel of Passaic-Clifton
200 Brook Avenue
Passaic, NJ 07055 How
do I get Sefira Counter 3.0? You
can download it by clicking on this link and installing from the
downloaded file. How
does it work? Sefira
Counter checks the current date and time to see what the current
count is. Based on what your computer tells it, you get a screen
like the one you see in Figure 1.

What's
new in Version 3.0? Version
3.0 adds automatic checking for sundown and allows you to set your
location so it can calculate when sunset is and adjust the count
based on the time. It also adjusts for Daylight Savings Time. How
do I set the defaults for Sefira Counter? Click
on the "Defaults" button on the menu and you will see
the screen shown in Figure 2. Note that the Latitude, Longitude
and Time Zone are not changeable but you can tell Sefira Counter
how long to hold off counting after sundown by changing the value
in that field.

What
do I do if my location is not in the list? You
can add it by adding the location to the Access Database,
SefiraCounter.MDB that is in the directory you installed Sefira
Counter. What
do I do if my location's Latitude and Longitude settings are
wrong? Just
type over the values in the screen and they will update for you. What
do I do if I have more questions? Just
send me an e-mail at Menachem@BazianCentral.com. |
